OH, THOSE BRAVE LADS!

The London Independent reports that troopers of the 101st Airborne Division sauntered into the Afghan village of Hajbirgit on May 22, shot the 85 year-old village elder and herded the rest of the population of the small village into a shipping container. The villagers, both men and women, were than handcuffed and manacled to stakes inside the hot metal container. They were released several hours later.

If this horrible story is true, then the officers and NCO's of the paratroop unit involved should be court-martialed for the mistreatment of civilians. They have dishonored the uniform of the US Army. A suitable punishment for the enlisted men of the 101st would be the denial of the right to wear the coveted "Screaming Eagle" patch for five years.

It's bad enough that the US government should take part in cruel and unecessary wars, but to mistreat enemy civilians compounds the offense. If this is the kind of treatment meted out to Afghan citizens on a regular basis, then the Pentagon should expect widespread resistance to the occupation of that country.

WAR ON IRAQ A DUBIOUS ECONOMIC SOLUTION

Rumors and hints are flying fast and furious in Washington about an attack on Iraq sometime in September. The London Daily Telegraph has gotten wind of British troop mobilization plans set for late summer. Martin Sieff of UPI has all his Pentagon sources telling him that war is on the way. A month ago, Secretary of State Colin Powell's campaign against the war was apparently successful. Why the volute face?

When looking at New World Order foreign policy one must never look at it in isolation from other policy areas, particularly the domestic sphere. The American economy is in serious trouble. It might be a temporary slump or, more likely, we might be headed for the sickly stagnation that Japan has suffered from for the past ten years. Either way, George Bush and his coterie of corporate handlers need a way to distract the American people from the bad economic news and give the defense stacks a little boost.

War as a solution to impending money woes is straight out of the senior George Bush's playbook. George W. is slavishly imitating his old man's strategies. Like his old man, he will fail. Of course, he will kill thousands of innocent Iraqis to the cheers of the bloodthirsty American public and the delight of the Zionist lobby. After the war and in preparation for the next presidential elections, the American press will start taking shots at him and he will be a one-term political loser and historical footnote, just like daddy!

The Fraud of Neoconservative “Anti-Communism”

Neoconservatives and their apologists would have the public believe that the neocons were former Leftists who saw the light and came to reject liberal or Marxist ideology as a matter of conviction and principle. Regrettably, this official line has come to be conventional wisdom, no doubt reflecting neocon efforts to hide the fact that their transformation was neither sincerely motivated nor sincerely enacted. To understand the real agenda that drove and continues to drive much of neoconservatism, one needs to look back to the origins of the movement and the cultural backgrounds of those who lead it.
It is a well-established fact that many of the early luminaries of neoconservatism (most famously Irving Kristol in the 1940’s, a more recent famous example being David Horowitz) came from Marxist backgrounds, and that neoconservatism (like Marxism itself) began and continues to be a largely a phenomenon of Jewish intellectualism. In the early part of the 20th century, Marxism attracted a disproportionate pool of Jewish recruits for a number of obvious reasons. There are a number of complex psychological and social reasons for the attraction, all of which largely stem from the fact that Marxist internationalism is an ideology which by its very nature finds disciples among a rootless, anti-religious urban intelligentsia.
More important for the purposes of this analysis, however, are the practical reasons for Jewish sympathy with Bolshevism. European and American Jews alike carried deep-seated hatreds for the traditional regimes and religions of the European continent, particularly Czarist Russia and various Eastern European nations due to (real and imagined) “persecution” and “pogroms” that occurred there. Thus, when the Bolsheviks overthrew the Czar, destroyed the hated Orthodox Church, rendered powerless the landed religious peasantry, and replaced traditional Russian authority with a largely Jewish Commissariate, world Jewry (including alleged “capitalists” like the Schiffs and Rothschilds) embraced the Revolution and Marxist ideology alike.
With Russia becoming an effective Jewish colony where “anti-Semitism” was an offense punishable by death and the native gentile culture was effectively stamped out (thanks to a leadership consisting mainly of Jews such as Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev, and Severdlov, held together under the stewardship of the obsequious philosemite Lenin), Jews throughout the world put their hopes in the possibility of similar revolutions elsewhere. Indeed, their comrades in arms were hard at work affecting similar changes in Hungary (Kuhn), Austria (Adler) and Germany (Eisner). The rise of Fascist and Nazi movements only served to further polarize Jewish support in favor of international communism.
This near unanimity would change as a result of two developments: a shift in the character of Soviet Communism on the one hand and the foundation of the State of Israel on the other. Stalin’s purges of many of his former Bolshevik colleagues (including Trotsky, who was assassinated while in exile), his 1939 pact with Hitler, and rumors of Stalin’s own anti-Jewish prejudices gave many would-be supporters pause. When Hitler invaded the Soviet Union, it became clear the Russian masses would not fight for the sake of Bolshevism, an ideology that brought them so much misery, but rather for the sake of Russian blood and soil. From then on, the Soviet leadership had to court the very Russian nationalist elements that the early Bolsheviks had worked so hard to stamp out. This lead to an increasing tolerance towards the Russian Orthodox Church and a decreased Jewish presence in the Soviet politburo and KGB. Thus, the USSR was “betraying” the very elements that made it attractive to the Jewish establishment to begin with.
Perhaps even more significant a factor in the origins of neoconservatism was the emergence of an independent Israeli state. While many Jewish Marxists eagerly supported the Zionist state, the more intellectually consistent Left opposed Zionism on the grounds that all nationalisms, including Jewish ones, are enemies of global proletarian revolution. Thus, Jewish leftists who once advocated internationalism for gentile nations were forced to come to terms with the implications of this ideology for their own nationalist sentiments. Thus, they needed an ideology which would let them have their cake (opposing gentile nationalism) and eat it too (by supporting Israel), and they found just such a worldview with neoconservatism.
At the same time, although the Soviet Union initially courted Israel during the 1948 wars of independence, it became clear to the Israeli government that in world polarized between the United States and the Soviet Union the former would be wealthier and more pliant cash cow to milk. By the 1950’s and the coming of the Suez Wars, regardless of residual Jewish loyalties to Communism, the battle lines were already drawn, with Israel in the US/Western camp and the Arab nations forced to make alliances of convenience with the Soviet Union.
It is hardly a coincidence that the changing character of Soviet Communism and the status of Israel as a US ally came at the same time that neoconservatism was becoming an influential political movement. For all of their talk about “capitalism,” “democracy,” “freedom,” and “free markets,” the fact that so many Jewish leftists turned on a dime to back the US in the Cold War because America could serve as a life support system for Israel and a bulwark against resurgent Russian “anti-Semitism” makes their real agenda entirely transparent. One can witness an identical phenomenon taking place today, as many Jewish liberal Democrats switch party ranks and join the GOP because of the latter’s stronger support for Israel and harder line with the Arab nations. All of the window dressing about their newfound “patriotism” and “Americanism” is a sham designed to mask the fact that the question for the neocons has always been and will always be “is it good for the Jews?”
The different agendas driving neocon Cold Warriors as opposed to their erstwhile Old Right allies could be seen on any number of fronts. The most obvious one has been the different reactions in the two camps to Russia after the end of the Cold War. While paleoconservative leaning Cold Warriors such as Pat Buchanan have pushed for normalized relations with Russia, the neocons continue to fight on the Cold War, enthusiastically supporting Chechen separatists as “freedom fighters” and advocating NATO expansion. The reasons for this difference are entirely obvious: the Old Right’s enemy was Communist ideology, while neoconservative Jews nurtured a hatred for Russian nationalism. Thus post-Communist Russia is still very much a threat to the latter, particularly with resurgent Russian “ultra-nationalism” and “anti-Semitism,” while in the absence of Communist rule the above are of little concern to the Old Right.
For all their talk about “anti-Communism,” the real engine driving neocon Cold Warrior instincts was punishing the hated Russian goyim for the sin of “anti-Semitism,” not any opposition to residual or latent Marxism. As further evidence that this is the case, one need only consider the fact that while the Old Right championed Christian dissidents such as Solzhenitsyn, to the neocons the only legimate “dissidents” were Zionists like Natan Sharansky, just as the only “refugees” championed by the neos were invariably Jewish (including today’s shady Odessa Mafiosi). Solzhenitsyn represented the Russian nationalism and Orthodox Church that made so many of the neocons’ predecessors embrace Bolshevism, thus Solzhenitsyn and the plight of Christian dissidents were relegated to obscurity in neocon publications, while Zionist noise-makers in the USSR were given a hero’s welcome.
In this regard, the neocons are the true heirs to Leon Trotsky, who condemned Stalin and his followers not so much for their brutality (as commander of the Red Army and overseer of Lenin’s terrorist CHEKA, Trotsky was no stranger to brutality and sadism) but for their “anti-Semitism” and “betrayal of the Revolution.” Trotsky’s main critique of Stalinism seemed to be that Stalin was moving Russia in a nationalist direction rather than working towards the establishment of an international “proletarian” vanguard. The fact that the intellectual ancestors of neoconservatism had not an unkind word to say about Bolshevism while Leninist-Trotskyite goals were being fulfilled suggests that it was not so much ideological reconsideration as tribal self-interest that drove these most unlikely conversos.
Because their move from the Left to a pseudo-right was insincere, one would expect to find a whole range of issues where the neocons retain leftist instincts and remain true to their Trotskyite heritage. Indeed this is the case. In their portrayal of the Cold War as a struggle between “capitalism” on the one hand and “socialism” on the other, the neocons try to minimize the fact that in many ways the conflict between the Bolsheviks and the West was over much more than economic systems. To most on the Old Right, the economic issues were at best peripheral: Marxism was opposed because it was materialistic, atheistic, and because it rejected nationalism and patriotism in the name of global revolution.
Most neocons came from a culture that was every bit as materialistic and cosmopolitan as the early Bolshevik leaders, so it is rather unlikely that they would have any quarrel with these aspects of Communist doctrine. The fact that neoconservatism is an ideology which is materialistic in nature and internationalist in focus (with its talk of “global democracy” and “global markets”) makes it obvious that the fundamental underpinnings of the Marxist Left are alive and well among the scribblers of Commentary and The Weekly Standard. Their “conservative” pretenses seem limited to the fact that they oppose “socialism” (of the nationalist variety) in the name of “capitalism” (of the internationalist variety), and for all too many naïve people that seems to be sufficient and believable.
Understanding the true nature of the neoconservatives illuminates the essence of the struggle between the Right and the Left. It was never a struggle between “capitalism” and “socialism” as neoconservative or Communist progaganda would have one believe. Rather, it was always a conflict between spiritualism and materialism, between nationalism and globalism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western Civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear where the neocons stand. Many “capitalists” understood that economic means are not significant, only the desired end. Jacob Schiff understood it when he financed the Bolsheviks, just as Rupert Murdoch, Ted Turner, Marc Rich, Boris Berezovsky, and George Soros understand that their form of “capitalism” is fully compatible with the essence of the Left, and that they can find friends and allies among the ostensibly conservative neocons.
Unfortunately, many Rightists are not nearly as perceptive in their choice of allies.

PALESTINE TO REJECT AMERICAN AID

Palestinain leaders today issued a statement declaring that they will not accept American aid because of US financing and support of the bandit State of Israel. The ocument was signed by persons representing a broad spectrum of Palestinian society. A representitive of Fatah, Yasser Arafat's group, also signed the declaration.

The laudable decision on the part of Palestine to reject over 450 million dollars in US aid is a fitting demonstration of the moral force behind the movement for Palestinian national self-determination. The people of Palestine refuse to be bought by American money like so many other venial political hacks. One that immeadiately springs to mind is the utterly repulsive Serbian president Kostunica, who handed his own people to the Hague kangaroo court for the sake a a few million.

The courage it took to reject the annual American bribe was considerable especially since so many homes, schools and infrastructure were destroyed by the Israeli military. The guts of the Palestinian people never ceases to amaze.

Outraged by the protracted standoff between Israelis and Palestinians at the
Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, a considerable number of Arab Christian
clergymen – including some heads of various churches – are publicly
condemning not only Jews and Israel, but Christians in the West – especially
in the United States – for siding with Israel.

Here, as translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, are recent
statements made by several Arab Christian clergy. MEMRI is an independent,
non-profit organization that translates and analyzes the media of the Middle
East.

Attacks on Christians in the West
Father Manuel Musalam, head of the Latin Church in Gaza, told Palestinian
Authority television:
Had we lived in the days when the Church was a [real] Church that controls
the world – a Crusader war crueler than the Crusader wars of the past would
have been waged [against Israel]. … Where is Christianity?! … We called upon
them: "Save Jesus." But it appears that the Christians (in the West) have no
connection to us. … We told the Christians in the West: In Afghanistan, you
moved heaven and earth to protect the Buddha statue; in your belief and
ours, Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity are much greater than a
Buddha statue …
Therefore I, the Christian Palestinian, say in all rage and daring to the
Christians of the world: You are loathsome! You are contemptible! You are
cowards! – because you cannot carry the message of Jesus in your hearts. The
message of Jesus is one of love, sacrifice, mercy, life, and manhood, and
these Christians of the world have no mercy, no compassion, no manliness, no
sacrifice. I do not mean only towards us, but even towards the Jews, as not
only do the Jews kill us – we also kill them, because we are in a war of
self-defense…

We – and I say this brutally, because he who remains silent is Satan – are
facing the filthy Christians of the West. … We hear that the American
Congress is demanding that Bush unleash Israel to slaughter the
Palestinians. What kind of Christian is this?! This is not Christianity; it
is not even paganism. This is Christianity of the jungle. Our New Testament
is not their New Testament, our Jesus is not their Jesus, our (Church of
the)Nativity is not their [Church of the] Nativity, and our peace is not
their peace. I will say still more: Our God is not their God …

Father Musalam voiced similar sentiments at a meeting between heads of
church in Gaza City and a delegation of Muslim clerics from the Palestinian
Authority's Ministry of Religious Endowments:
The Western Christian, without love, tolerance, truth, and justice in his
heart, must cast away his New Testament. The New Testament and Christianity
are innocent of that (Western Christian). If I were the head of the church
where the American president Bush worships, and he came to pray, I would bar
him from entering, because he has renounced the church's moral standards.
During the same meeting, Bishop Alex, head of the Roman Orthodox Bishopric
of Gaza, said: "Real Christianity means love and harmony, and it exists only
in Palestine and the Holy Land. In contrast, Western Christianity is false.
Anyone who claims he is a Christian but has no love or tolerance in his
heart is no Christian."

Condemnations of Protestantism and the American political leadership were
voiced by the Egyptian Coptic Church as well, which typically enjoys good
relations with the West via the Coptic communities in the U.S., Canada, and
Australia. In an article titled, "Oh Mr. Bush, Are You Christian or
Crusader?" Coptic priest Marcus 'Aziz Khalil wrote:

Israel knows how to mislead the leaders of many countries, deceiving them
that [to believe] they have common interests with it. … It managed to drug
the leaders of those Christian countries – especially those who belong to no
religion and do not know the road to Heaven, or who take religion's name and
image but are totally distanced from its essence. They are manipulated by
Israel, like marionettes, to destroy their religion. (Israel) has also
managed to brainwash some whom it discovered to be highly susceptible
because of their surly nature. Israel planted among them the spirit of
hatred and rage towards the Arabs and Muslims – as it did to George Bush
Sr., who attacked Iraq, and behold, it continues on its path with George
Bush Jr., who attacked Afghanistan ...
If only God would intervene to defend the world from these enemies of peace.
Although they swathe themselves in sheep's clothing, they are wolves seeking
to kill the flock. … We Christians of the East, who in the past refused to
stand by the Crusaders and stood by our Muslim brethren, are also opposed to
the negative deeds of the Western governments biased in favor of Israel
despite its arrogance and even though it damages the holy sites. We say to
Mr. Bush: During your term, Jesus' name is disgraced by the attacks on the
holy places. Are you a Christian, Mr. Bush? I doubt it. Perhaps you are a
Crusader. God alone knows.

Egyptian Shura Council member Dr. Nabil Luka Babawi, an expert in criminal
law and a Copt, attacked President Bush in an article titled "Judas Is
Back":

Today, 2,000 years since the Judas affair, the same scenario repeats itself,
and the Christian rulers betray Jesus. These rulers have become the Judas of
our time. They have sold out the Messiah for their own private interests,
and so as not to anger the Zionist lobby in America … Perhaps the Church of
the Nativity will be destroyed and turn into rubble. Bush, the head of the
Christian rulers, will be responsible for what happens to it. He is proving
to be the Judas of our time, for he has sold out the Messiah for the
American Jewish vote. ...
Babawi published another article in the Egyptian government daily Al-Ahram
slamming his fellow Copts living in the West for their failure to support
the Palestinians:

Today the Jews shell the Church of the Nativity with artillery, and the
Copts in the diaspora do not pressure members of the American Congress with
a demand to stop the attack on the Church of the Nativity and on Al-Aqsa
Mosque … Why are the American Copts and Muslims not demonstrating to condemn
the behavior of the madman Sharon, who began to behave like a madman after
he was hit in 1948 in a sensitive place of his body by a bullet, leaving him
with one testicle only . This has affected him psychologically, and he
has become a crazy psychopath using power to hide his weak point. …
Elias 'Awwad, head of the Palestinian Roman Orthodox Church, said, "The
Zionist movement controls European and American public opinion … For this
reason, we witness a weakness in the defense of the Christian holy sites on
the part of America and the European countries ... These people [Western
Christians] deal first of all with their interests, not their religion. … In
my view, they are not Christians, because they do not act according to the
precepts of the New Testament. …"

The Bishop of the Assyrian Orthodox Church of Mt. Lebanon and Tripoli,
George Saliba, stated the following regarding Christian leaders in the West:

Unfortunately, in the West today – Europe and America – all these are not Jews, but are led by the Jews. This religion is
the enemy of God, the enemy of people, and the enemy of Christianity. …
There must be an awakening among the rulers of these countries, so that they
return to punishing Zionism for its evil deeds towards all people. I hope it
will be soon. …
Jesus once said to the Jews: "You are the sons of Satan, and you do the will
of your father Satan." They answered: "No, we are not the sons of Satan, we
are the sons of Abraham." He replied to them: "Had you been the sons of
Abraham you would be acting in accordance withthe acts and precepts of
Abraham. Therefore you are the sons of Satan. …"

Jews throughout the generations

Father Manuel Musalam compared the armed Palestinians in the Church of the
Nativity to Jesus on the cross:
We kneel before the Palestinian in the besieged Church .He
hungers, but he is steadfast; he thirsts, but he is steadfast. These words
were not born in a vacuum. The one who said "I am hungry" when he was on the
cross was our Lord Jesus himself. … Our Palestinian people in Bethlehem died
like a crucified martyr, on the rock guarded by the Israeli soldiers armed
from head to foot who have no compassion, love, life, or tolerance. …
The Jew has a principle from which we suffer and which he tries to impose on
people: the principle of the "gentiles." To him, the gentile is a slave.
They (the jews)give the (Palestinians) working in Israel only a piece of
bread, and tell them: "This piece of bread that you eat is taken from our
children, and we give it to you so you will live not as free men on your
land, but as a proletariat and slaves in Israel, to serve us …" The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion are based on this principle, and anyone who
reads the Protocols feels that we are in this period with the Jews. …

The Church, the Pope, the Christians, and the New Testament clearly state
that, according to Christian belief, the ones who killed Jesus are the Jews,

In a letter to the editor of the Egyptian Coptic weekly Watani, Egyptian
Coptic clergyman John Jirjis wrote:
I do not wonder at the deeds of the leaders of the Israeli people, as they
are the followers of Herod the tyrant who ordered all the two-year-old boys
of Bethlehem murdered so as to kill Jesus, but failed!! They are the
followers of the chief priests, who saw Jesus and his miracles and heard his
precepts, yet accused him of heresy and called for his crucifixion! They are
those who forced [Pontius] Pilate to crucify Jesus. … although Pilate
conceded that Jesus did not deserve crucifixion. They still live with their
dark and cruel hearts, rejecting all the prophecies of their prophets. The
sight of their bloodstained hands is not unfamiliar to the human race!!
The Coptic priest Marcus 'Aziz Khalil wrote:
From the human point of view, the existence of the State of Israel is an
historic sin. It is not sufficient to deem this sin the crime of the
generation; it is one of the unforgivable sins, and no means of purification
will help them… The belief on which the Jews have based their state is null
and void, but they have taught their sons from infancy that it is the proper
belief. …
The Hezbollah television station Al-Manar gave its viewers an exclusive
broadcast of a lecture on "Christianity's View of the Jews" by the Bishop of
the Assyrian Orthodox Church of Mt. Lebanon and Tripoli, George Saliba, at
an Islamic institute for religious studies. He said:
… As is known, the Jews think that only they are human. Only they are the
sons of Adam. As far as they are concerned, all the peoples have the
status of beasts. Gentiles. This contradicts the message of God in the world
… Do you know what they did to the prophet Isaiah? … They took him and sawed

Outraged by the protracted standoff between Israelis and Palestinians at the
Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, a considerable number of Arab Christian
clergymen – including some heads of various churches – are publicly
condemning not only Jews and Israel, but Christians in the West – especially
in the United States – for siding with Israel.

Here, as translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, are recent
statements made by several Arab Christian clergy. MEMRI is an independent,
non-profit organization that translates and analyzes the media of the Middle
East.

Attacks on Christians in the West
Father Manuel Musalam, head of the Latin Church in Gaza, told Palestinian
Authority television:
Had we lived in the days when the Church was a [real] Church that controls
the world – a Crusader war crueler than the Crusader wars of the past would
have been waged [against Israel]. … Where is Christianity?! … We called upon
them: "Save Jesus." But it appears that the Christians [in the West] have no
connection to us. … We told the Christians in the West: In Afghanistan, you
moved heaven and earth to protect the Buddha statue; in your belief and
ours, Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity are much greater than a
Buddha statue …
Therefore I, the Christian Palestinian, say in all rage and daring to the
Christians of the world: You are loathsome! You are contemptible! You are
cowards! – because you cannot carry the message of Jesus in your hearts. The
message of Jesus is one of love, sacrifice, mercy, life, and manhood, and
these Christians of the world have no mercy, no compassion, no manliness, no
sacrifice. I do not mean only towards us, but even towards the Jews, as not
only do the Jews kill us – we also kill them, because we are in a war of
self-defense…

We – and I say this brutally, because he who remains silent is Satan – are
facing the filthy Christians of the West. … We hear that the American
Congress is demanding that Bush unleash Israel to slaughter the
Palestinians. What kind of Christian is this?! This is not Christianity; it
is not even paganism. This is Christianity of the jungle. Our New Testament
is not their New Testament, our Jesus is not their Jesus, our [Church of
the] Nativity is not their [Church of the] Nativity, and our peace is not
their peace. I will say still more: Our God is not their God …

Father Musalam voiced similar sentiments at a meeting between heads of
church in Gaza City and a delegation of Muslim clerics from the Palestinian
Authority's Ministry of Religious Endowments:
The Western Christian, without love, tolerance, truth, and justice in his
heart, must cast away his New Testament. The New Testament and Christianity
are innocent of that [Western Christian]. If I were the head of the church
where the American president Bush worships, and he came to pray, I would bar
him from entering, because he has renounced the church's moral standards.
During the same meeting, Bishop Alex, head of the Roman Orthodox Bishopric
of Gaza, said: "Real Christianity means love and harmony, and it exists only
in Palestine and the Holy Land. In contrast, Western Christianity is false.
Anyone who claims he is a Christian but has no love or tolerance in his
heart is no Christian."

Condemnations of Protestantism and the American political leadership were
voiced by the Egyptian Coptic Church as well, which typically enjoys good
relations with the West via the Coptic communities in the U.S., Canada, and
Australia. In an article titled, "Oh Mr. Bush, Are You Christian or
Crusader?" Coptic priest Marcus 'Aziz Khalil wrote:

Israel knows how to mislead the leaders of many countries, deceiving them
that [to believe] they have common interests with it. … It managed to drug
the leaders of those Christian countries – especially those who belong to no
religion and do not know the road to Heaven, or who take religion's name and
image but are totally distanced from its essence. They are manipulated by
Israel, like marionettes, to destroy their religion. [Israel] has also
managed to brainwash some whom it discovered to be highly susceptible
because of their surly nature. Israel planted among them the spirit of
hatred and rage towards the Arabs and Muslims – as it did to George Bush
Sr., who attacked Iraq, and behold, it continues on its path with George
Bush Jr., who attacked Afghanistan ...
If only God would intervene to defend the world from these enemies of peace.
Although they swathe themselves in sheep's clothing, they are wolves seeking
to kill the flock. … We Christians of the East, who in the past refused to
stand by the Crusaders and stood by our Muslim brethren, are also opposed to
the negative deeds of the Western governments biased in favor of Israel
despite its arrogance and even though it damages the holy sites. We say to
Mr. Bush: During your term, Jesus' name is disgraced by the attacks on the
holy places. Are you a Christian, Mr. Bush? I doubt it. Perhaps you are a
Crusader. God alone knows.

Egyptian Shura Council member Dr. Nabil Luka Babawi, an expert in criminal
law and a Copt, attacked President Bush in an article titled "Judas Is
Back":

Today, 2,000 years since the Judas affair, the same scenario repeats itself,
and the Christian rulers betray Jesus. These rulers have become the Judas of
our time. They have sold out the Messiah for their own private interests,
and so as not to anger the Zionist lobby in America … Perhaps the Church of
the Nativity will be destroyed and turn into rubble. Bush, the head of the
Christian rulers, will be responsible for what happens to it. He is proving
to be the Judas of our time, for he has sold out the Messiah for the
American Jewish vote. ...
Babawi published another article in the Egyptian government daily Al-Ahram
slamming his fellow Copts living in the West for their failure to support
the Palestinians:

Today the Jews shell the Church of the Nativity with artillery, and the
Copts in the diaspora do not pressure members of the American Congress with
a demand to stop the attack on the Church of the Nativity and on Al-Aqsa
Mosque … Why are the American Copts and Muslims not demonstrating to condemn
the behavior of the madman Sharon, who began to behave like a madman after
he was hit in 1948 in a sensitive place of his body by a bullet, leaving him
with one testicle only [sic]. This has affected him psychologically, and he
has become a crazy psychopath using power to hide his weak point. …
Elias 'Awwad, head of the Palestinian Roman Orthodox Church, said, "The
Zionist movement controls European and American public opinion … For this
reason, we witness a weakness in the defense of the Christian holy sites on
the part of America and the European countries ... These people [Western
Christians] deal first of all with their interests, not their religion. … In
my view, they are not Christians, because they do not act according to the
precepts of the New Testament. …"

The Bishop of the Assyrian Orthodox Church of Mt. Lebanon and Tripoli,
George Saliba, stated the following regarding Christian leaders in the West:

Unfortunately, in the West today – Europe and America – all these [Christian
leaders] are not Jews, but are led by the Jews. This religion [Judaism] is
the enemy of God, the enemy of people, and the enemy of Christianity. …
There must be an awakening among the rulers of these countries, so that they
return to punishing Zionism for its evil deeds towards all people. I hope it
will be soon. …
Jesus once said to the Jews: "You are the sons of Satan, and you do the will
of your father Satan." They answered: "No, we are not the sons of Satan, we
are the sons of Abraham." He replied to them: "Had you been the sons of
Abraham you would be acting [in accordance with] the acts and precepts of
Abraham. Therefore you are the sons of Satan. …"

Jews throughout the generations

Father Manuel Musalam compared the armed Palestinians in the Church of the
Nativity to Jesus on the cross:
We kneel before the Palestinian in the besieged Church [of the Nativity]. He
hungers, but he is steadfast; he thirsts, but he is steadfast. These words
were not born in a vacuum. The one who said "I am hungry" when he was on the
cross was our Lord Jesus himself. … Our Palestinian people in Bethlehem died
like a crucified martyr, on the rock guarded by the Israeli soldiers armed
from head to foot who have no compassion, love, life, or tolerance. …
The Jew has a principle from which we suffer and which he tries to impose on
people: the principle of the "gentiles." To him, the gentile is a slave.
They [the Jews] give the [Palestinians] working in Israel only a piece of
bread, and tell them: "This piece of bread that you eat is taken from our
children, and we give it to you so you will live not as free men on your
land, but as a proletariat and slaves in Israel, to serve us …" The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion are based on this principle, and anyone who
reads the Protocols feels that we are in this period with the Jews. …

The Church, the Pope, the Christians, and the New Testament clearly state
that, according to Christian belief, the ones who killed Jesus are the Jews,
and there is no way to deny or renounce this… The Jews are the ones who

THE MILLENARIAN TEMPTATION

What has caused the extreme Pro-Israel stance among Evangelical religious leaders in the United States? In previous columns I have dealt with the influence of strange millenarian theories that surfaced in American society in the 19th century, especially under the influence of the views expounded by the Scofield Reference Bible.

But the millenarian temptation has existed in Christianity for centuries. It first surfaced during the Reformation among the more fanatical and extreme elements of that movement. Luther himself condemned the concept in no uncertain terms as " a Jewish opinion" and whatever one may think of the entire corpus of Luther's theology, we know that the author of "The Jews and Their Lies" knew a Jewish opinion when he saw one. Traditionally, the Bible's contention of a thousand year reign of Christ was interpreted to mean His sovereignty throughout all eternity. The Bible used a common literary device of the time of using numbers like a thousand as shorthand for "forever."

The problem is that the President of the United States is a Millenarian and so is his pal Attorney General John Ashcroft, who is even more fanatical in such views. These two oddballs actually believe that if they don't unconditionally support Israel that they will be obstructing the Second Coming of Christ. They base this on an obscure reference in the epistles to the flowering of a fig tree prior to Christ's return. It takes a certain arrogance to think that one may somehow obstruct Christ's return. Jesus is coming back alright, but in his own good time and no man is going to get in His or His Father's way.

Ashcroft and Bush aren't the only kooks in the "Judeo-Christian" world. Supporters of Sharon's Likud bloc in Israel are putting together the various elements necessary to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, so that the Jews may return to the practice of sacrificing animals on an altar. The only hitch in this plan is that the "Dome of the Rock" Mosque will have to be demolished, which would probably result in something on the order of World War Three. Of recent significance is the report in (the regrettably homosexual) Justin Raimundo's column at antiwar.com regarding a team effort by fanatical Jews and their Evangelical allies to produce a "perfect red heifer," in other words a cow that would pass rabbinical muster whose ashes could be used as a means of ritually purifying Jews so they can set foot on the Temple Mount. I know that to the average reader all this sounds too bizarre...and I agree.

At the end of the Cold War some predicted that there would be a great flowering of religion in the world and there was, but it turned out that it was the most bizarre and crackpot religious ideas that somehow gained currency and "traction." There are those who accuse Nationalists of holding strange ideas, but we have nothing on allegedly "mainstream" politicians like Sharon, Bush and Ashcroft.

Warhawks Target Iraq

Rumors are flying far and fast in the capital cities of the West that sometime before the summer is out the United States will lead a military effort to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. It is to be hoped that such an attack will not occur. The Bush Administration, drunk on the heady brew of positive popular opinion polls, is drawing up a list of possible countries to invade and the scene of "Daddy's big success" seems to be at the top of the list.

Military conflict is, by its very nature, bloody and expensive, but there are some very good reasons for the US government to forget about this proposed war that are particular to this situation. The Administration is using a kind of "bait and switch" triangulation scheme in order to trick the American people into war. The American people are, by their very nature, a kind and generous people, but the foreign policy knowledge of the average man on the street is sketchy at best and American's have, in modern times, placed a great deal of trust in the judgement and motives of the Executive Branch. This is, of course, foolish.

The American people, still reeling from the disaster of September 11th, are being manipulated into a conflict that has nothing to do with the "War Against Terrorism." No one has proven any connection between Al Queda and the Hussein government, apart from a meeting months before-hand between an Al Queda operative and an Iraqi intelligence officer. This of course means nothing, since Osama bin Laden was a CIA contact man himself at one time.

The Zionist propaganda machine has been spreading subtle and not so subtle anti-Arab propaganda for months in the major media. Iraq represents no threat to the US. Former arms inspection officials like Bruce Ritter have asserted that Iraq has no capability to threaten the US with nuclear, biological or chemical warfare even if they had the inclination.

Contrary to widespread popular belief, Saddam Hussein is no Muslim fundamentalist, but a secular Pan-Arab nationalist in the mold of the late Abdel Nasser of Egypt and the late Hafez Al Asad of Syria. He considers the Islamicists a threat to the regime. In fact, Hussein has excellent relations with the various Christian churches and they have had no harassment from their Moslem neighbors.

The biggest threat to peace in the region comes not from Iraq, but from an American supported Israel that inflames Moslem sentiment against the United States by its heavy-handed anti-Palestinian policies. Our lopsided pro-Israel policies create more bad feeling than just about any foreign policy position the US takes.

Invading Iraq will cause great consternation in the Arab and Moslem worlds. This time the Europeans have no desire to come along for the ride. Even British Prime Minister Tony Blair, normally an American puppet, is frantically trying to persuade the Bush Administration to reconsider this "scheduled" war.

Once again Americans are being manipulated by the Jewish ethno-religious lobby into fighting an unjust war for no other reason than to make the world safe for Israel. Israel and its "amen corner" in the United States is determined to defend Israel to the last American.

Palestinian Rights as a Nationalist Issue

Almost everyone in politics knows that the Jewish Lobby is one of the most powerful institutions in the country. Between those “in the know” the only controversy is whether or not big business or the Jewish ethnic lobby has the most pull. The ADL and AIPAC stand over Capitol Hill like a two-legged colossus.

When it comes to issues related to foreign affairs, gun rights, “hate” crime and civil rights, Jewish organizations have dominated the agenda. The basis for this dominance has a lot to do with a neat little semantic trick they manage to perform on a regular basis. The brilliant nationalist theorist Samuel Francis has even invented a term for this trick,“Reducio ad Hitlerum.” Any criticism of the Jewish people or their politicalorganizations, however mild, is considered a prelude to the advocacy of murdering theentire Jewish population. This absurd position even extends to arguments about historical events of sixty years ago, as Pat Buchanan recently learned when he decided to take a fresh look at the origins of the Second World War.

The easiest way for a journalist or intellectual of any kind to completely marginalize himself is to be called an anti-Semite. Once the accusation has been hurled, thelikelihood of its sticking is very high.When such a charge is made people are often too frightened to defend the accused because they too might get tarred with the anti-Semitic brush. Using this power, Jewish leaders in the United States and Europe have attained a new privileged position in American society; they are now considered, for all practical purposes, to be “above criticism.” This, of course, is a very dangerous state of affairs. Noman or institution can claim infallibility in all things. Even the Papacy claims infallibility in only very limited areas.

The recent outbreak of civil disorder in Israel has given us the opportunity to reassessthe power of the Jewish Lobby and the ways in which it can be weakened. Many theories have been put forward about how the Zionists can be thwarted. Most of these theories have failed in one way or another, usually because they focus upon past events that most folks simply don’t care about.

It has occurred to very few Nationalists that the people most oppressed by Zionism are
the Palestinians. They have their land and homes taken from them, they are subject to
arbitrary arrest and torture and can be held for months without any formal charge. They
are not permitted to travel freely in their own country and (like serfs in Old Russia) must
secure special documents to leave town, while their Jewish neighbors can go anywhere
they like. During times of disorder, Palestinians are not permitted to leave their homes,
sometimes for thirty days or more.

Nationalists who take a pro-Palestinian stand will be taking a position on what’s
happening today. How long can be go on talking about the USS Liberty? While that
atrocity was a foul deed, it did occur almost thirty years ago. Why not focus on real
suffering and oppression that is going on now?

We need not do anything radical like send in troops. All we need to do is cut off the
billions of dollars in civilian and military aid to Israel and let the stone throwing youth of
East Jerusalem do the rest. Best of all, the Jewish Lobby here in the US will lose the false
moral high ground that it has inhabited for so many years and their radical distortion of
the American political system will come to an end.

An Open Letter to the Palestine National Authority
Dear Gentlemen,

The American Third Position extends deepest expressions of sympathy and solidarity to the people of Palestine.

The ATP salutes the determination and just fight for freedom that the Palestinian people have displayed for decades.

Please understand that the Zionist-occupied US government does not speak for a large proportion of the American people, who condemn Zionist aggressionand US aid to the Zionist entity.
We hope that the authority will remain resolute in their ongoing commitment to freedom for Palestine, and will show leadership that protects the interests of all Palestine's people, Muslim and Christian alike.

A FIRST FOR THE PALESTINIANS

News reports have reached us that the Palestinians destroyed an Israeli Mk-3 tank in the Gaza Strip recently. This marks the first time in the 16-month conflict that the Palestinians have managed to develop a weapon, in this case a mine, powerful enough to knock out a tank.

Three Zionist oppressors were killed and one was injured in the mine attack. We look forward with keen anticipation the destruction of more Israeli armor in the coming months. While we would prefer that peace would reign in the region and the Zionists would cease the cruel repressive measures against the Palestinians, we know that this isn't going to happen anytime soon. The butcher Sharon is, sadly, going to have to learn the hard way.
